I love the way you have written this. Like a poem. Or a song with a chorus. I love the image of the women singing in prison to create joy. I love the phrasing “the difference between intent and impact”. And the need to discuss it.
The way you repeat some of the words makes it very much feel like poetry or song to me! And I think the heart behind it leads me to feel that as well. A sermon would have to feel more like you are telling me what to do while this feels like we are in this together. ♥️
I appreciate this reminder. I'm working on it. One day at a time, one little bit at a time. Mostly, I want to be there for the people who are endangered. The Trump voters will just have to wait.

John said he thought it sounded like a sermon; I hadn't thought of it as poetic and appreciate the recognition.

It does have the cadence of a sermon. And I mean that as a compliment. Perhaps a poetic sermon?

Thank you for these reminders that ring so true in my heart. This is the way I want to move in the world, and connect and love.
Some of this is certainly easier than other parts of this. But some is better than none.
Thank you for being so lovely, Patti.
